What has the best / your favorite part of the apprenticeship opportunity been so far? 

The best part has been having the opportunity to grow my clientele and get experience behind the chair so early into my education. I am a very hands on learner so having the opportunity to work on clients all day was great for establishing myself as a stylist and the apprenticeship allowed me to develop confidence in my skills very early in my career.

What could someone expect to get out of this experience?

An opportunity to experience what it’s like to work in a salon setting. You learn how to communicate with both clients and other stylists.

Why did you choose an apprenticeship? 

I’m more of a hands on learner and thrive in social environments. Plus it’s less $$$!

What has the best / your favorite part of the apprenticeship opportunity been so far? 

All of it to be honest I think it’s amazing opportunity for people to learn and even better that you are getting paid.

What could someone expect to get out of this experience?

You will definitely learn hair and the whole salon process very quickly.

I didn’t want to pay for school, and this just seemed like a perfect fit

As an apprentice at Salon Disegno, you’ll be fully immersed in the real salon experience while receiving structured training. Your time will be spent:

• • • • Hands-on learning under a Master Cosmetologist, perfecting cutting, coloring, styling, and guest handling.
      • Assisting senior stylists to gain practical experience with client consultations, applications, and finishing techniques.
      • Attending in-salon training sessions to cover all Georgia State Board requirements.
      • Developing technical and business skills to ensure confidence behind the chair.
      • Building a clientele by taking on models and progressing toward independent services.
      • Gaining exposure to salon operations, customer service, and the ins and outs of running a successful career in the beauty industry.
    • By the end of the Salon Disegno Apprenticeship Program, you’ll have mastered the fundamentals, built relationships with clients, and be fully prepared to take the Georgia State Board of Cosmetology exam—all while being part of a thriving salon team.

Our apprenticeship program is designed to be completed in approximately 1.5 years and includes:

      • Building foundational and advanced technical skills

• • • • $0 in tuition – You are not paying for school; you are learning while working.
      • Full-time commitment – Apprentices must work full-time in the salon.
      • Dedication to training – You’ll be completing coursework and hands-on training under a mentor.
      • Time & passion – This program requires commitment, but it pays off with early career success!
    • As an apprentice, you are responsible for obtaining your own textbooks, hard tools, and training kit, which includes shears, clippers, combs, clips, brushes, styling tools (such as a blow dryer and irons), mannequins, and your state board kit. These items can be purchased individually or as part of a complete kit.
